Full-back’s Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal return from injuries to start for Arsenal in their second-leg Europa League fixture against AC Milan. Shkodran Mustafi is also deemed fit enough to start after limping off with a groin injury against Watford on Sunday.
Danny Welbeck and Jack Wilshere also start for the Gunners after being called-up by Gareth Southgate for the latest England squad.
AC Milan, who look to overturn a two-goal first-leg deficit at the Emirates tonight are missing both of their right-backs Andrea Conti and Ignazio Abate to injury and on-loan Sunderland forward Fabio Borini has been chosen to fill in in their absence after doing the same in Milan’s 1-0 win over Genoa at the weekend.
Arsenal are in the driving seat in the tie after goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey, who both start tonight, handed them a 2-0 lead in the fixture’s first-leg and the Gunners will have no room for error as they look to go all the way in this year’s Europa League in order to return to the Champions League next season admitted Ramsey.
“It’s a massive opportunity for us so it’s something we’ve got to be prepared to give everything for to try to achieve,” he said.
“This game is very important for us and our season. We saw how good they are, we can’t take our foot off the gas. It’s important we treat it as 0-0 and go out there for the win.”
